Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc

De Sauvignon Blanc van Cloudy Bay heeft Nieuw­Zeeland op de kaart gezet wat Sauvignon Blanc betreft. Voor deze prachtige wijn worden de druiven ´s nachts geoogst om de maximale fruitintensiteit te bewaren. De druivenstokken worden geplant op de voedingrijke bodem van de beste viticulturele plekken in de Wairau Vallei. Lange zonnige dagen en koele, heldere nachten bieden de ideale condities gedurende het seizoen. Zorgvuldig wijngaard management zorgt voor optimale rijpheid en smaak.

Fermentatie vindt plaats in roestvrijstalen tanks, waarna de wijn nog zeker 2 maanden op haar gist ligt te rusten. Na het blenden behouden de winemakers slechts de allerbeste blends voor deze iconische Sauvignon Blanc. 

Proefnotitie

Het palet is uitzonderlijk rijk, met rijpe bessensmaak en een hint van verse venkel, wat leidt tot een krachtige, crispy afdronk. Frisse, lichte smaak. Prachtige wijn, stijlicoon voor Nieuw­Zeelandse Sauvignon Blanc. Zeer goed gebalanceerd, erg genereus en heerlijke complexiteit.

Drinken bij

De Aziatisch georiënteerde keuken is geschikt – ideaal met citroengras, milde chilli, verse koriander, basilicum, etc. De ultieme regionale match is met de groene mossel uit Marlborough.
